Do you ever find yourself burning the midnight oil…..then find yourself feeling tired and low on energy the next day fueling yourself on strong coffee?
As entrepreneurs we often push ourselves to finish projects and task even if that means staying up late until the early hours. But did you know you’re actually working against your body’s biological clock?
Some of you will be pretty used to getting to bed late and can probably function well the next day but if you were to take a closer look at your hormones they would tell a different story.
You see your body’s biological clock AKA your circadian cycle regulates lots of physiological processes including when certain hormones are released. So mess this up over the long-term and your stress levels will elevate causing all sorts of other problems.
I used to get to bed around 11:30/12, and in the morning I wanted to stay in bed longer and felt more tired when I finally got up.
Now I go to bed at 10pm and get up at 5:30am. Things are dramatically different. I have more energy, better quality sleep and I’m more productive.
